Franziska Windolf

About

I am a Munich-based multidisciplinary artist working with object, text, and situational practice. My artworks explore "internal monuments" (Denk-Male) at the intersection of private and public memory. Since 2021, I have been developing four distinct memory frameworks: The Handkerchief, Mapping, Meet The Memory Person, and For Monument’s Sake!. My practice is rooted in historical and site-specific research—and often collaboration—to reveal the poetic and relational facets of identity, memory, and aesthetics.
